Loom pricing in 2026, and what you actually need

Loom has four plans, and the one most teams end up on costs $18 or $24 per person per month. That's worth it if you use the AI features and team tools, but if you mostly record your screen and send a link, there are cheaper ways to do exactly that. This page lays out what Loom costs today, what a team pays over a year, and how to decide whether the higher price makes sense for you.

Loom's plans and prices

These are the prices listed on loom.com/pricing on 13 October 2026. Prices are per person per month when billed monthly, and Loom offers up to 17% off with yearly billing.

Plan Price What you get
Starter Free Up to 25 videos per person, recordings up to 5 minutes, up to 720p
Business $18 per person per month Unlimited videos and recording length, plus team features
Business + AI $24 per person per month Everything in Business plus Loom AI features
Enterprise Custom quote Advanced security, admin and support options

Loom's pricing has changed several times since Atlassian acquired the company in 2023, and the higher tiers now bundle more AI and team functionality. If your renewal came in higher than you expected, you're not alone, and it's a good moment to check which of those features you actually use.

What a team pays per year

Because Loom is priced per person, the yearly cost climbs quickly as a team grows. The figures below apply the full 17% yearly discount, so they're the lowest you'd typically pay.

Team size Loom Business Loom Business + AI Seedling
1 person about $180 about $240 $79
5 people about $900 about $1,200 $395
10 people about $1,800 about $2,400 $790
25 people about $4,500 about $6,000 $1,975

Is Loom worth the price?

Loom is worth it if your team uses what the higher plans add, such as AI summaries and chapters, comments and reactions on videos, desktop and mobile apps, and shared workspaces with admin controls. Those are real features, and for some teams they save a lot of time.

Many people, though, use Loom for one thing: recording a quick screen-and-camera video and sending the link. If that's you, most of the price pays for features you don't open. A simple test is to look at your last ten Loom videos and ask whether anyone used anything beyond watching them. If the answer is no, a lighter tool will do the job for much less.

A cheaper way to get the part you use

Seedling is a screen recorder built for exactly that core job. You record a tab, your screen or your camera from a Chrome extension, your camera appears in a bubble you can move around, and the share link is ready the moment you stop. You can cut out mistakes afterwards, you get an email when someone watches, and viewers don't need an account.

It costs $8 a month or $79 a year per person, and you can try it free for 14 days without a credit card. There's a full side-by-side comparison on the Loom alternative page, including the features Seedling doesn't have.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Loom cost per month?

Why did my Loom bill go up?

Loom's plans and prices have changed several times in recent years, and features such as AI tools are now part of more expensive tiers. Check your plan in Loom's billing settings and compare it with the current pricing page to see exactly what changed for you.

What's the cheapest alternative to Loom for screen recording?

Fully free tools such as the screen recorders built into macOS and Windows give you a video file rather than a share link, so you'd need to upload it somewhere yourself. If you want Loom's record-and-share-a-link workflow at a low price, Seedling costs $8 a month or $79 a year.
